For thos who dont know the guy :

- co founded the dreaded original CRIPS gang some close to 30 years ago in Los ANgeles , CA .
- served close to 25 years in San Quentin for MURDER and ROBBERY
- already in death row and will be the 12th one to be executed since death penalty was reinstated in California in 1977
- Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger is his only hope to spare his life from execution thru lethal injection

iSTORYANS .... what are your opinions on the situation ?

- claimed to be innocent of the charges but guilty of starting a group that would become a menace to the society
- turned his life around and condemning the very people that joined the group he personally started
- wrote a book that gang life is not the answer for the a troubled teens but education is
- was almost ? nominated for the NOBEL PEACE price after turning his life in prison

SHould he be spared or executed ?

Spared. The scientific basis of his conviction were not exactly as clear as 1+1 = 2. If he was convicted using hard scientific evidence ... off with his head! ... but I do not think it is the case.

the name rang the biggest bell when i got to the Politics page!

i reckon, like any other accused, he should be freed if he hasn't been proven guilty by legal and valid means.Â* when they started the CRIPS, they initially didn't expect things to turn out like what it is now.Â* he shouldn't be answerable to the actions committed by present members.

correct me if i'm wrong or maybe i just misunderstood your statement... but he was imprisoned for murder right? not for organizing the CRISP gang?

He was convicted of murder not starting the gang.

Sorry guys, his appeals for clemency has been rejected by the Terminator. He set to die midnight in California, so 3pm today in the Philippines. May God be with him. If he truly has changed, his good deeds will not be forgotten when he meets his maker.

Considering, the media circus and gang connection with tookie, i hope there won't be any riots after his death.
