naa nami existing nga LAN., naka dynamic amo IP... ok raba sa nga mo use mi og LInksys WRT54G router?..para sa laptop?..para wireless2x nlng?

unsaon pag config?..nga usa ra ila subnet?..i mean pareha ra sila og ip address?..
ang router kay mo create man gud siya og new subnet.. 192.168.1.0

ma lahi man gyud cguro kay router man imo gamit unless you're using a switch/hub but then you need to connect a wireless connection so router gyud. haven't tried such a setup also. if someone knows about it here then we will learn together.
naa by option to disable the dhcp server in your router para dili siya mo hatag og ip address. maybe that is the key to your problem.

Instead of wireless router, why not use a wireless access point instead. Same subnet, only that your LAN can now serve wireless clients thru the AP.

bitaw, better ang access point. pero if u prefer the router, u have to manually change some settings sa imo router.

wireless access point bitaw ng wrt54g, naa lang cya routing capability kay naa cya dhcp server nga embedded. kung naa na kay existing na LAN, i suggest i-disable nimo ang routing capability sa imo router angd use it as a plain access point, di na ka mag worry ug IP settings, ang imo laptop sa imo existing LAN na magkuha ug IP.

hello, nag try jud ko og setup, but dili jud siya maka internet..
ma kuha niya ang ip address sa among DNS but still dili japon siya ka internet .. didto sa "STATUS" kay naa ang DNS.

to orenrak unsaon pag disable sa routing capability?..para ma AP nlng siya?..asa dapit ngadto nga options?
i've tried using AP mo work raman, pero karon kay ang napalit ig WIRELESS ROUTER jud..mag lisod na ibalik.

It might just be a problem in the routing config. How about setting it to transparent mode.

AMD earl. if you just want your wireless clients tohave internet.. one simple solution would be to


1. plug the WAN port of you wrt54g into one of the ports on your switch

2. setup wrt54g to use dynamic ip (ip provided by your dhcp server on your wired network)

3. enable (by default anyway) routing and dhcp of your wrt54g..

your wirelessclients will be getting their ip from the wrt54g and they connect to the intertet thru the wrt54g as a router and then are routed also to the wired router

bro, dli mana mao yaha prob.. his prob is to how can the other pc connected to there new router be the same subnet with there existing

ani nlang bro, pila ka port muha new wireless router nga built-in nya? if naa available slot for wired lan.. pwedi ra ninyo
ibalhin ang switch sa port sa new router and i-connect dha ang mga wired lan sa switch nyuha other pc's, in that way, magkita ra tanan
nyuha mga pc/laptop maski wired and wireless.. ok docs?? c",)
