Default XP SP2 + (win torrent clients) = less performance

Google for XP SP2 EventID 4226 and you'll know why...

That's why I like using torrent clients under Linux... no 10 half-open connections limitations

Of course, there's always a fix to the 4226

I guess this is no news to some of you who have tried maxing the concurrent connections for their torrent clients under win

This also only really affects your speeds if you have a lot of slow downloads. A few really fast downloads will max your speed out with no problems. I doubt anyone here has an OC3 in their bedrooms and even then, your hard disk will be more of a problem than this.

IMHO No. You are better off looking for free pr0n. At least you get something out of it.

HUH!? What's the big deal? It's an easy fix. Just increase the half-open connections from 10 to at least 50.
