^ I don't think there will be any tax on text messaging. The reported news on imposing tax on text is not seriously pursued by the government. Hence, there's no need to worry.

GMA imposed tariff rate cuts, instead. At least, that will have a direct effect on the price of oil in response to the skyrocketing of oil in the world market. If I remember it correctly, at least P.50 per liter in the price of diesel while P.23 in the price of crude oil in general will be deducted with the computed tariff rate cuts.

As has been often said, the only things sure in life are death and taxes.....from the day you're born and even after you die, taxes will have to be paid...

^^ That is because taxes are the lifeblood of the nation. Without taxes collected the government will not have local financial resources to use for the creation of projects and programs for the delivery of basic services to the public. The only negative thing about taxes is that its rates are too high. But what can we do? It's a give and take relationship between the government and the people. The government gives what the people need and the people also have to give some and not just take benefits from the government.
