Hey guys! Just wanna ask your opinion about this matter. I am a nurse by profession who plans to take the NCLEX-RN by next year. Last August 30, 2007, I enrolled in a review center and paid the full amount because I was after the review fee discount of about 2000 pesos. I decided to enroll already, eventhough it’s still too early for me to do so since my plan was to take the NCLEX next year, because, anyway, their review program was valid for one year. The longer validity of their review program was actually the main reason why I chose their review center in addition to the fact that their review center has on-line (via internet) assessment and examinations based in the U.S. For the first two weeks, I was able to attend about 3 meetings of lecture and 3 meetings of test taking in paper and pencil format. After that, I wasn't able to go back to the review center anymore because, during that time, I was also having my training in a certain hospital here in Cebu. I was already very tired to attend the review class after my training so I decided to wait until my training ends on October 23, 2007 before going back to the review center. Just about a week ago, a friend told me that the management announced that their review center is going to have a revamp (change in management) and they will only give the students until December 31, 2007 to finish all their on-line assessment and examinations which is really impossible in my case. The problem is that it is not yet certain whether the review center will still have operations here in Cebu or not anymore. I just want to know if I can be entitled for a refund. If there are lawyers or law students here, please help me. Thanks.
I just want to make it a point that, upon payment, the review center did not show any kind of contract which I had to sign. They just gave me an official receipt for my payment.
