Default When you save someone's life, are they forever indebted to you or are you forever responsible for them?

Ever since ang ato man pag-tuo diba is if naa ta i-save nga kinabuhi, automatically those people will be indebted to us but I have been exposing myself to different philosophies and recently came across this new belief that is opposite from what I have known regarding saving someone's life. They say that when you save someone's life it is you who is responsible for him from that point. If they do good with their lives, then you did the right thing but if they go down the evil road, all the lives they will ruin will be on your hands.

    Naglibog na nuon ko haha!

    What do you guys think?

My tito was shot in the head and no one from the vicinity came to rescue him except for one person. That person who saved his life and brought him to the hospital was rewarded. That happened early 90's and until now he still continues to financially support the man's family. But I don't think that by saving someone's life, we'd be held responsible for him or whatever path he'd be taking eventually.

saving one's life is everyone's responsibility.
    but after that, wala na.....

the one being saved should not be indebted to the one who saved them.
also, the one who saved should not be responsible for the lives of the one they saved.

TS, I'm curious. That concept of someone becoming burdened by eternal responsibility after he saves the life of a person, whose belief is it?
