i just recently switched to 50mbps sky broadband from 2mbps globe bundle

so open dayon ko sa speedtest net para ma-check ang dwnload spd, and to my surprise, lain2 lagi ug result every host

mao ni ang mga results as of this writing:

cebu city hosted by Rise - 44.27mbps ds 4.75mbps us
cebu city hosted by PLDT - 33.68mbps ds 3.54mbps us
cebu city hosted by Globe tel - 5.99mbps ds 4.40mbps us
cebu city hosted by Smart Comm - 26.01mbps ds 3.24mbps us
cebu city hosted by SkyBroadbnd - 40.91mbps ds 4.64mbps us

basin man gd ug bias ang result ba.. mokusog ra siya depende sa imong broandband.. haha

speedtest is good for reference of course dapat kasabot pud ka giunsa nmo ug gamit. tungod kai globe ka, na jud tendency hinay if imo server gi test is lain isp. depende pud sa distance, network conditions like traffic etc. example is daku imo result if mag speedtest ka using US servers but hinay if EU based-mas daghan agian routing padung EU kaysa US

ISP na boss, pero mura business lines ra naa nila. fiber ra pod tanan ila. asa imo location nga naa 50mb sa sky imo? wa man gud na sa amo area. hehe

You need to manually change the server to Globe or one that is nearest to you since if smart or a different ISP or location it would be slower. there are different factors for different location of your test server like distance and the amount of trip of your connection, congestion ect. For more reliability test the one that is closest server to your location and with the same ISP server.

You can also do a real world test like on youtube speed, or torrent speed just install an app like network monitor where it has a widget that shows the speed somewhere in your screen when you go to different sites.

mo temporarily download ni siya ug file depende sa size. pwede auto or manual.

depende mn gd na asa na server ni solod....same ra as paspas kau ka mu dagan pero kung mu ageh ka sa lane kung asa ka recommended na lane syempre pas pas ka pero if mo lahi kag agi-anan syempre dli to imong recommended na lane mo hinay jud...
