I've been playing poker when I was still in the US. I used to play with my officemates. Sayon ra ng poker bai. It's just the same principle with the so called "piyat-piyat" uf "chikicha". If you know the combinations of those games, you can already play poker. Ang kalahi lang kay ang no. of cards nga imong dad-on. The most thrilling game of poker is the Texas Hold 'em. Duha ra imong card ani. Nindot jud kung dagko sad ug bets. You can also play online poker like yahoogames or any online poker sites.

naa naman tingaliy poker club diri sa Cebu, kay Ive heard naa naman daw local tourneys like in Kalye 80s. Daghan naman sad nabuang ani, hehehe

sakto to ang katung usa nato ka kauban who said nga if you've played piat-piat or chikicha before, you won't have any problems learning the basics of playing poker.

poker involves using, basically, the same hands, or card combinations, as piat-piat or chikicha. ang imu gyu'ng hunahunaun is this: a typical game of poker is composed of two aspects (sakto ba?), 1) playing for the highest hand, or card combination, and 2) betting and winning the most chips for it. these two are so entwined together nga dili ka makaduwa without the other (in poker). pwede gani ka mapildi bisan naa ka'y pares nga alas unya basura lang ang sa pikas. it's really a mental sport gyud. and i think that's why daghan ang na-interesado because of this aspect. it's a thinking game.

other than that, it's practice, practice, practice. once naa na ka'y experience, dili na ka mahulga kaayo. unless naay mukalit ug all-in (hehehe.. lingo, that's another thing you need to learn.. hehehehe )
