JOB Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in configuration/deployment and assisting in setting up best practices for the DevOps Team as we scale worldwide:
· Install and configure applications, servers, and third party tools in various environments
· Develop and enhance system and application management tools and scripts that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency
· Evaluate new DevOps tools and technologies to identify critical issues proactively and auto correct systems
· Work with the software engineering teams to ensure systems are developed to support operational requirements
· Collaborate with other system administrators and developers to establish DevOps best practices
· Coordinate 24x7 on call rotation and issue escalation process
· Maintain internal knowledge base & documentation

REQUIREMENTS
You must be experienced, eager to learn and want to become proficient in new skills, technologies, and scripting languages.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 2 year experience as system administrator, preferably as Linux System Administrator
  • Knowledge of databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of version control systems and defining the release and deployment processes
  • Programming Experience, especially Web technologies (HTML5, JQuery, AJAX, JSON)


Desirable:

  • Experience building cloud infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience with Telecom (SMS & Voice) and Asterisk PBS/FreeSWITCH
  • Experience auto-scaling applications in the cloud across multiple regions
  • Knowledge of DevOps/cloud orchestration tools such as Salt/Puppet/Chef/Ansible
  • Experience Tuning databases (SQL and NoSQL both) and application (Java, Python, JS) performance
  • Startup/Freelancing experience
