research lang TS, about your frame size... better buy secondhand na upgrade na, kay barato then quality na ang dapat. IMO lang... better opt for high end na RD and FD ug Shifters...

sir @bnardlord, naay pros and cons sa pag buy ug secondhand as well as brandnew.

First of all, you need to have someone who knows bikes when you buy whether secondhand or brandnew because taas ang possibility na ilaron ka sa seller. Also, most often, ang seller would sell you something you would not possibility need or might find useless later on.

Buying secondhand would most likely get you better bang for the buck but there is also a possibility of not being able to spot some defects. Buying brandnew would more likely be expensive but also would depend sa shop na imu gi palitan.

Before you buy, go around the shops without any money. Take note, do not bring cash or credit card para dili ka maka impulse buy. Just look and ask around. I recommend YKK bike shop ky maayo na sila diha mo setup ug bike na fit sa imu. Most other shops do not care sa fit as long as maka baligya. Their prices are fair as well. Google is your friend and therefore maximize it. Take note of the prices and jot it down. If you are from Lacion or that area, there is a bike shop there owned by Dan and he is a helpful guy from my experience.

If you do decide to buy secondhand, do all the research possible before you buy it. ALso join cebucyling.com ky daghan pud maka tabang nimu didto.

Ayaw ug padala sa brandnames lang. Most are easy to replicate through stickers and even embossing. Also, ayaw ihurot imu money sa bike lang but buy a good helmet and blinkers too for your safety. I hope that helps in anyway.

Go for entry level mtb components, shimano deore groupset,a decent frame and fork and wheelset within your budget. Research first before you buy para guided ka. Good luck and enjoy your new mtb!
