yeah yeah, i'm intersed in this stuff, problem is it's kinda expensive, there's a lot of ways we can improvise but the sport is kinda technical, you have to know the wind speed and direction and the launch is kinda tricky but its a great sport!

i saw people do this when i was in boracay around july. we were gonna try it but it was kinda expensive... i know of a friend who's into it, they have regular rides at tagaytay on weekends when its windy. there was even a weeklong workshop of sorts in bora a couple of yrs ago.

hehehe medyo mahal jud bro, the kite is not as simple as it looks, you have to use power kites, these kites have bladders where you pump air para maoy iyahang frame, it's huge! the lines that they use are really strong ones, the type that don't break easily murag kanang sa parachute lines man cguro. you also have to use technical shorts na naay attached nga harness daan, one time in siargao i helped a guy launch his kite, after doing a couple of aerials his safety line snapped, his kite fell on the water, the current was strong and the kite was dragging im towards the rocks so he let go of the kite. maayo gani nasangit iyang kite sa mga bato kay kung wala pa anud jud to, but the kite got damaged pretty bad hehehehe

There you go, leave the topic for a couple of days and posts are posted hehehe. Thanks for the interest u guys, anyway post away.

Yeah, it's kinda expenssive. I saw a local tournament that was held in Maui last year. Nothing big, nothing special, just some locals kicking it out and enjoying the water and wind. I asked around for kiteboarding lessons, and I kinda had 2nd thoughts coz t'was freakin' expensive Lolz. But, what the hell its goin to be a hell lot worth it, coz I would be goin back to cebu for school.

Yah, its expensve, not only the kites but the board as well, the harness, the belts, everything, dang!! But, if u can eventually acquire all of it u wont be needing to cash in for anything, not for a long time that is. I asked some guy who worked at a surf shop about how much has he spent for kiteboarding, and he told me that it summed up close to $800. Yeah, including everything.
