Default Best way to Setup PLDT WiFi Modem/Router

Hello Everyone.. ngutana lng unta ko if naa bay nindot nga setup og unsaon pag setup aning network namo sa balay.. i have this PLDT WiFI Modem/Router H5004N Prolink from PLDT and my own WiFi router TPLINK.. den ako ni siya g suwayan og connect directly without setting up anything pero naa may chances nga dli mu connect or dli dayon ma stable ang connection sa modem mismo.. panagsa mawala lng og kalit or dli jud mu connect (no internet connection)..

If there is any good setup or setup guide please do share.. ako lng unta gamiton ang akong router kay sayang man pud mag standby rani ngari and on the plus side i can fully customize the security and bandwidth limits and stuff.. naa man setting ang PLDT nga router but not as much as sa kanang imong pinalit jud nga routers (TPlink, D-link, Linksys.. etc)

    Thanks.

bsin niya ma pangitaan tag rason nganu naa na say problem sa connection ba.. kay kuno g usab nimo ang settings blah blah blah so on... panagsa makapungot man gud makiglalis sa mga taga PLDT nga technician nga mu ari sa balay kay himoon kag bo** panagsa ba.. ilaron ka bisag klaro na kaayo ang ilang binuang.. but yeah naa way lng nga minimal ang pag uasb sa settings sa ilang modem/router..

Its their precautionary nga naa gyud policy not to alter their setttings/preconfiguration para walay problema mogawas sa imohang end but if you know the 'in-depth technicalities/how to's' then why not... just be sure you know what you are doing or else PLDT will always tell you to use the pre-configured ones. There is also an advantage in using theirs kay ma remote nila in case they need to repair something in your end.

Im using now an adsl wifi modem from another ISP for I find it better (but on standby ang ilahang untouched original modem in case something shall happen).

Duha man pud akong modem ang isa katong modem lng jud which i prefer og trusted kay sukad g hatag ni wlay juy problema with connection there is a little problem with the bandwidth but harware wise wla jud siyay problem.. and their new wifi modem/router.. back up ra man nako ang wifi modem but sadly ni bigay na jud tong isa.. dugay naman pud siya so maybe its time na.. hehehe.. so i used my backup.. diha nag start ang problem sa hardware cuz wat i did was i connected it to my own existing router (tplink).. den nadugay nako og gamit dli siya dayon mu start ang wifi modem.. den dli sad dayon mu connect.. panagsa dugay jud lng mu start.. so ako g suwayan og direct connection from my PC to the wifi modem.. and its all okay.. but dli lng jud ko ganhan masayang ang router nako gud hehehe.. and naa sad mga features sa router nga wala sa wifi modem/router nila.. though pde man guro ma reset to factory settings ang wifi modem/router if something goes wrong.. just wanted to know which setup is best so karon nag bridge ra ko ron

Yes that can be reset to ISP pre-configured defaults 'unless if youll flash' it with a new firmware which will change its system.

TS ayaw e bridge, gamita imong second router.

From the pldt modem/router plug a cable in the first port. and then from connect ni sa internet port sa imong second router. Nya tanan nimo nga connection kay adto na mag connect sa secod rounter. So imo rang gi piggy back ang internet connection sa modem/router.
