Playstation 3 US and JAPAN version

mga bro unsa difference sa US version and Japan version sa playstation 3? mas barato lagi japan version.

Similarities
both can play all PS3 games coz there is no PS3 region game lock
both can play BD (blu-ray) movies in either region coz US and Japan both belong to BD Region 1

Differences
US can only play PS1/PS2 NTSC U/C games while Japan/Asian version can only PS1/PS2 NTSC/J games
DVD Playback: US can only play Region 1 DVDs, while Japan can only play Region 3, the Asian PS3 version can only play Region 3 DVDs

So dapat gyud diay ta palit og PS3 na US version kung nahan ta mo play sa atong original PS2 games nga napalit diri since most orginal games sold here (except the japanese titles of course) are NTSC U/C

My US ps3 can play any DVD including backup DVD movies, do you think the US ver has no region lock?.

The only advantage I think if you got the US ver is that you will access the US PS Network which are in english language, baka kasi pag Jap version some downloadable content on Jap PSN might be in Japanese language...

hehe kanang backup dvd wala na na siya region coding, lets say region 0 na na siya, btw pwd raka mo check sa uban PS stores, check out pinoypsx.com, someone is selling japan/hk 60gb versions for only 23k
