Andrew Kevin Walker's script is very tight. Economy of words. Less or no camera commands at all, if I remember correctly.

Near the end, the police officer says There is blood from a third party whom we have n0t yet identified and I like the Machiavellian taunts of John Doe in the police car in the end...

The man who played John Doe (director of BEYOND THE SEA) said he wished to be uncredited in the beginning. but his name is the first to come out in the CAST at the end credits. I wonder if K---- S----- has a S.A.G. card. Maybe he has a D.G.A card since he was captain of Beyond the Sea

Oh the shark babe, has such teeth dear and he shows them pearly white...

Awww, don't spoil it for the "virgin viewers"....

I was a virgin when I saw this.

I saw this with my mom and her pregnant friend. Needless to say, they were not very happy!! But I was. I love David Fincher(the director) especially given my Fight Club obsession. I like his style in both films. Its very gritty and dark. Im exitedly waiting for Lords of Dogtown which he produced but is directed by Catherine Hardwicke (director of 13). Se7en is a must see for those who like dark movies.

I just love this film!!! One of my favorites. And by the way the title is actually spelled SE7EN ... I just love the climax were the suspense really heightens as to the last crime.. I just love the tension filled moments up to the final revelation... I just love it..

I also recommend THE GAME, in 1997 it has a surprise ending that's less morbid. Also directed by David Fincher starring Michael Douglas and Deborah Kara Unger.

Yeah, Brad Pitt became wrath and the sad part is, he has completed John Doe's masterpiece.
