    Default Benchmarking your PC

I have a query. My rig is a AMD athlon64 3000 on a MSI K8N neo2 Mobo. After installing the PC wizzard, I found out that my processor is only running only at 1800 Mhz. Is there something I can do to increase and add more juice to the processor I have read the manual of the mobo and did'nt find anything that can help.

pls make use of the search tool. I think your question will be answered by this thread:

I'm just curious here.... isn't 1.8Ghz the default speed of an Athlon 64 3000+?

Your processor is running at its rated speed.

Ahh ic. Thanks... so 1.8 ghz ra gyud diay clock speed. Karon pako. hehehhe. So u mean if kung mu over clock maka abot ug 3ghz?? Wala kaau ko alamats mu over clock... coz basin pa hinuon maguba. I also have another computer nga AMD64 -2800 ang processor. I also noticed nga 1.8 ghz ang iya power. Thats means diay weather you are buying a 2800mhz or a 3000 hz nga AMD, it doesnt make a difference?? Isnt that highway robbery??

Naa silay difference nga 200MHz bro, dili na highway robbery bro kay di man pareho ila speed in the first place.

to be specific deba ang AMD Athlon 64 3000 (S939) stock Speed is 1800MHz so I'm guessing nothing is wrong with your core. as what they've mentioned the model number doesn't equate to clock speed in AMD

venice core = moderate to high overclocking possibilities

and according to some OC gurus I've read somewhere last year (I forgot what forums):
sample results from a Winchester core
stable OC: 267 x 9 = 2400 MHz (from the looks of it murag lisod iabot ug 3.0Ghz w/o sacrificing stability)
    stock Speed: 1800 MHz
    OC'ed by: 600 MHz

Yeah. S939 ako gamit. its running at 1850 mhz. Like I said the my other rig which has a AMD64 2800 processor is running at 1800 Mhz. Anyway wala man sad ko blema with regards to output. Wala ko plano mu experiment ug OC coz dili ko kamao ana basin pa hinuon ma guba. Unsaon diay pag benchmark may be thats the better yardstick to compare both rigs ?? Thanks guys for the info...learned something gyud.
