i tried VB6 with Win7. I guess VB6 up is compatible.

compatible man naa may backward compatibility ang win7, but if you are asking if ang component and windows sa VB mo bagay ba sa win7, afaik... during xp days... mag himo pakag manifest file where your application be installed... not sure if same raba sa win7

Try to set up the compatibility mode bro and run as administrator.... I try running vb 6 in win 7 and it works.
using win 7 64 bit
