    Default Somebody tell me bout IP address pls!

    I have a dsl connection (globelines broadband) and i dont know it's IP address or how many do they provide? I think i have to call their technical support, but maybe somebody out there can at least give me some ideas bout IP addresses, router, switch... (sorry!) I have five computers now and it's internet connection is ok. Prob is, instead of 384kbps speed, i only have 40 in one computer and 50 in another.I don't understand. I hope i have 384 in each computer. Thanks so much for the help.

    IP address of globelines broadband is somewhat like this.. 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.255.... they have unique IP addresses.

    12 1122021490 0.724722094125788 Randomly Testing your link from 203.215.xx.xx to this web server
    13 1122021490 0.908772489085994 Randomly Testing your link from 203.215.xx.xx to this web server

    What about the good old ipconfig /all from the console (assuming you are running Windows)? Couple this with a tracert command, then you will have a pretty good idea of where you are at... I have a reserved/private IP as I am on the LAN side of a DHCPd WiFi access point/Cable modem tandem. Of course "your" IP might be your router's address which doesn't help you much, does it?

    Your IP address is shown only to you and moderators. Remember that this information is not identifying, and that most IPs change periodically.

    You cannot see other members' IP addresses, and they cannot see yours.

    Close window

    mao ni ang msg from istorya when i clicked the IP address at the lower right.

    Your IP address doesn't have to change. Professional dedicated web servers never change IP addresses. My IP address doesn't change. You can probably go to your ISP and request a static IP, but it will probably come at extra cost. Dynamic IP addresses are implemented because it is more economical and most users aren't online all the time anyway.

    @doki:
    if you are using dial-up, in most cases(here in phils.) mag change gyud na everytime mo connect ka sa internet...

    just try everytime after ka maka connect sa internet, go to command prompt(dos) then type "ipconfig"... your ip will be displayed. disconnect again then do the same thing aron makita gyud nimo nga ni-change.
    NOTE: this is if you are using dial-up.

    kana imo giingon mga numbers, yes mao na imo IP... ang makita nimo sa uban kay "Logged" ra. you and the admin of istorya ra makakita ana.
