Did you really think Google was the only company working on a “Glass” project? Microsoft is currently working on an Xbox Smart Glass tablet, and is supposed to show some of its features off at the next E3. A “Microsoft Confidential” preview of the Smart Glass tablet is going to reveal the following details about the tablet:
1. Glass app users access to Xbox 360 remotely, cross platforms--including Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
2. Youtube/Netflix/Vemo are accessible through app.
3. Live streaming through other devices such as TVs, laptops, tablets, etc...
4. E3 demo will be shown, but nothing hands on.

Microsoft may be in the process of building an application that takes care all of your enterntainment needs. The future of the Xbox may not be just a game console, but a multimedia hub. The Smart Glass app/tablet are possibily just pieces in Microsoft's grand scheme to take over home entertainment. Will the Smart Glass tablet be a “normal” tablet killer, or is it just a cheesy marketing name to get people interested? Hopefully we’ll know soon.Reference: redmondpie.com, examiner.com
