The general mentioned is a muslim convert. Duna man god silay giingon nga in the Philippines, muslims maglabanay gyud. So in essence, they don't endanger the lives of fellow muslims. Di lang nato i-apil ang Iraq kay sectarian trouble naman nang ila. Media might have overblown this so let's not get too alarmed.

It was not a hostage. It was merely an advice for them to stay for a while so they could talk things freely.

according to Brig. Gen. Dolorfino, it was a continuous talk with the MNLF as part of the continuous peace talks with the Muslim group.. he said they were not hostaged but they were hosted.. but that is also a pressure tactic against the government.. they were freed after they have reached an agreement on the holding of the tripartite conference in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this year.. anyways, it is a good thing to have reached a peaceful agreement insofar as both the GRP and the MNLF panels seek to implement the peace accord of 1996..

pasalamat ta gibuhian ra sila.. bisan pa ug convert si general, it is not a guarantee. sa cotabato ang kadaghanan nga biktima sa bombing mga muslim. ug ang bombers mga muslim amo nga wala gyod exception ang religion kay lain na ang ilang ipinaglaban, more on self-interest sa grupo.

Hopefully the GRP panel could pull off an agreement with this MILF groups in order to finally settle the peace accord. After all, the GRP-MNLF agreement was a relief to the Philippine government as we are now coordinating with these groups in order to dissolve and terminate the terrorist groups in Mindanao. With the GRP-MILF Agreement finally taking place, we will have stronger forces in the South to finish off the enemies of the State.

For me government must use iron hands para mawala na ang mga rebelde. Peace process, basin sila ang mosurrender sa mga leftist, rightist, frontist, etc.....
