Step 3. Those who pass the writing test will be offered a 20-30 minute interview by Skype.

OPEN POSITIONS

1) Manager of Grants Management – Senior Level Position

This position reports to the Directorfor Grants Managementand is responsible for overseeing the management of a Grants and Proposals Team. The Manager has responsibility and accountability for executing and managing the following for our customers:

• Strategic assessment of customer’s prospect list
• System for submission and reporting management
• Writing, Production and Editing of Proposals and Letters of Inquiry
• Editing and supervision of Reports Writing and Production

The Manager leads a team of professionals that includes a Grants Writer, Research Specialist and a Grants and Proposal Assistant. The Manager is responsible for ensuring high levels of accuracy, skill and knowledge across the team, as well as providing professional development to foster the growth of team members’ careers and leadership.

The Manager is the key account manager for a set of customers and responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship built on understanding, trust and high levels of quality and performance.

Qualifications:
- Masterdegree in English, business, journalism, social science, nonprofit management or related discipline, preferably from a top-ranked institution.
- At least five years of experience with persuasive writing, fundraising, journalism or related industry. Preference given to those with experience in an international or US-based non-profit organization.
- Advanced fluency in English, including business English and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in entrepreneurial environments that require proactivity and self-directed work.
- At least three years of progressive staff and/or customer management experience.
- Person of high integrity and strong work ethic.

2) Grant Writer/Senior Grant Writer–Entry and Mid-level positions


Our Grants Writers are the writing specialists and communications experts on the Grants and Proposal Team. The Grant Writers love the day to day work of creating persuasive proposals that highlight our customer’s strengths and make a strong case for funding. The Grant Writer executes the following:

- Outlines proposals and letters of inquiry.
- Directs Research Specialist on necessary facts and figures required to produce an exceptional proposal.
- Writes, edits and finalizes all proposals and letters of inquiry for the Manager’s review.
- Works with team members to ensure early and complete submission of all proposals.
- Makes suggestions for improvement and innovative approaches to grant-writing to customers, team and company.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in English, journalism, history, social sciences, Liberal Arts or related discipline from a top-ranked university.
- Minimum of two years in a professional communicator, program or writing role preferred. Experience with US nonprofit or social sector organization preferred.
- Advanced fluency in written English, including business English.Good verbal skills preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in environments that require proactivity and self-directed work.
- Person of high integrity and strong work ethic.

3) Grants and Proposal Assistant – Entry-level position
Our Grants and Proposal Assistants are recent university graduates, usually starting off in their first professional role. Reporting to the Manager of Grants Management, the Assistant provides the day-to-day organization and production functions that provide the foundation for smooth functioning of the team and the customer’s account. The Assistant is the formatting and graphic design specialist, making sure that everything that gets submitted looks clean and appealing. The Assistant is also the technology expert for the team, managing telecommunications and softwarethat supports the team and customers.

Responsibilities include:
• New customer set up, including online systems and accounts
• Creating and managing calendars of customer deliverables, submissions and reporting.
• Inputting grant requirements and setting up checklists in system.
• Creating appealing designs and design templates for grant proposals and reports.
• Formatting and designing text, charts, and graphics for proposals.
• Proofreading and quality control for all submissions and reports.
• Manage telecommunication accounts, video-conferencing and software needs of team and customers.
• Assist Controller with AR/AP and day-to-day bookkeeping functions, as assigned.

Qualifications:
- English, Liberal Arts or related discipline from a top-ranked university.
- One year of professional experience preferred. This may be gained through summer employment, internships, practicum or other relevant experiences.
- Strong facility with computer software and telecommunication technology, including MS Word, Adobe, Google docs, Skype, and other relevant applications.
- Proven skills with graphic design, document design and layout.
- Avid problem-solver, proactive and eager to learn new professional and technical skills.

4) Research Specialists – Entry-level Position (Part-time or Full-Time)
Our Research Specialists are current graduate students or recent university graduates. Reporting to a Grant Writer, the Research Specialist provides the day-to-day research work that enables the smooth functioning of the team and the production of accurate and compelling proposals. Responsibilities include:
• Conduct thorough research online and through document review of foundations’ giving history and current priorities.
• Work with Grant Writer to unearth data, facts and figures and outside reports to substantiate and support proposals.
• Work with Customers to fact check statistics and program and results data supplied by the organization.
• Build the company’s knowledge base of our Customers’ fields and causes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in English, Liberal Arts or related discipline from a top-ranked university.
- One year of professional research experience preferred. This may have been gained through summer employment, internships, practicum or other relevant experiences.
- Strong facility with research tools, including online research and data repositories.
- Avid problem-solver, proactive, curious and eager to find relevant research and statistics.
- Obsessive attention to detail. Satisfied only with 100% accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Willing to work toward advanced fluency.
- Person of high integrity and strong work ethic.
