Network Problem

hi guys.

have a laptop(XP home OS) and desktop(XP pro SP2 OS), used the windows network setup, the when i actually try working with the network the system always prompts bad connection or whatever and the data transfer rate is very low. not using a router just p to p setup.

usaon mani pag setup sa network manually without using windows setup for network?

sunod lang ilang ip add bro.. =) like 192.168.1.1 pc1 and 192.168.1.2
and please the properties sa imong lan card...check the link speed. auto ba or 10mbps lang ba...

tanawa unsa imo lan card.. og 10mbps ba cya or 100mbps.. nya unsa imo gigamit nga utp?? cat5?? cross imo gamit or straight?? kai og p to p kailangan cross imo gamiton.. heheh

tan-awa imo rj45 if parallel or cross connection ba. mas nindot cross.

yes cross ang gamit nako na rj45.

hmmm.. isetup lng iya IP manually..

try these settings:

LAPTOP: PC:
IP: 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2
SUBNET: 255.255.255.0 255.255.255.0

try lng sd disable sa firewall.. kai dli gyd ka mka kita sa pikas pc og enabled cya.. heheh

ok rana bisan ang OS lain lain noh? i mean laptop is XP home, then Desktop is XP Pro.?

check also your cable...bacn naay daot or loose conncetions....bacn naay interferance sa imo cable mao hinay..
