Any feedbacks? I always recommend branded power supplies for my clients except for some circumstances. Until I got this client who ordered a GTS 250 E-Green. It was already SOP for me to ask what psu he's using. And he said it was a TomMade 650w PSU. I heard of the brand before and had always doubt it's efficiency. So as SOP, I explained to him the risks of running a card of the GTS 250's caliber on a generic( I could be wrong sa term) psu. So I go look for their website ( luckily they have one ) and asked my client what TomMade psu model he has. He was unable to verify, so I suggested nalang to upgrade the psu first, they do have some decent psus on their product list but again, I was unfamiliar with the psu. After some series of questions and advices, he decided to get the card nalang and not use it until he gets a good power supply. Usual transaction goes, until the card arrived. I went to their house to verify nalang pud the specs of the psu. I was shocked sa iya specs. It got 32amps in the +12v rail! The psu is presented with a black finish, and a catchy 120mm or 140mm blue led fan. I did a quick calculation ( extreme psu calculator ) on his rig's total consumption w/c is just 345w( it was a package rig w/ an i5 dual core, 2gb ddr3 ram and 1tb hitachi drive, no accessories ). So we agreed to give it a quick run. I connected the card for testing purposes only and it ran fine. Did a quick 3dMark06 run and SCII 5min worth of gameplay fine. I know that its not enough to test the card on a psu that quick and the card is a green ed. anyway. My client is already saving for an Enermax psu, but this will probably hold him on for a weeks until then. The specs of the TomMade psu was pretty decent. That's why I would like to confirm sa mga users ani, how did it go? Could be a marketing strategy, I don't know, just want to ask user experiences as reference nalang pud. If I could only take a peak inside one, I'm not that of an expert in identifying and measuring a good build but this psu really raises my curiosity meter.
