Miss Universe Organization handpicked 4 delegates to attend the first Miss Universe Event.



Four contestants were invited to join reigning Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete during a visit to the Sao Luiz hospital, in Sao Paulo. MUO did not mention the criteria for choosing such delegates. They were from China (Zilin Luo), Philippines (Shamcey Supsup), Venezuela (Vanessa Goncalves) and Brazil (Priscila Machado) were chosen by the organization to participate in this unique experience and meet some of the children that will be soon benefitted from the surgeries provided by Operation Smile. They were named ambassadors for the cause.

another update: Miss Philippines was handpicked again by the MUO to attend the 2nd event

After the Operation Smile Event. Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete and 15 other contestants were specially invited to the Itaipava GT Brasil car race to be held Sunday August 28th at the Interlagos Race Track in Sao Paulo. Navarrete will act as the checkered flag girl for the event. The contestants who will join her during the exciting race are Angola, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Kosovo, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela!!!
