Help with regards to DPI and Large Format Printing

I'm currently working as a graphic designer in the advertising side of the company. And I feel so stupid.

Ani ni cya, wala ko kasabot about the maths behind DPI (dots per inch) ug unsaon na pag configure for print. I'm a web designer for 2 years now and I haven't handled any print projects.

Basically, we need a printer na maka print ug large posters (like 30inches wide) or any other marketing material. Dili ko familiar with printers, and if unsa jud na klase sa printer ang gamiton. Sakto ba na ang paliton kai large format printer? And if sakto ko, asa a palit ana?

And another question, sa DPI settings... What if ang size sa akong image is just 15 inches x 15 inches, unsaon man na nila pag print na mahimong dako? Is that because of the DPI settings? Can a 15-inch-picture be stretched to a 30-inch-wide poster through DPI settings without destroying the image quality? Please help.
