ask lang unta ko mga masters kung asa ang "better" procie aning duha:

-Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200(2.5GHZ, 2MB cache, 800MHZ FSB, 45NM)

and

-Intel Core 2 Duo E6420(2.13GHZ, 4MB cache, 1066MHZ FSB, 65NM)

naglibog man gud ko kay mas dako paman ug score ang E5200 sa fritz chess benchmark...

e5200 is also a core 2 duo based on the wolfdale architecture. think e8400 series with majority of its cache disabled and the clockspeed lowered.

i say go for the e5200, iirc, there are instruction sets added and optimization that are present on the wolfdale but not on the conroe

edit: checked both processor's specifications and the E6420's edge is virtualization is enabled. on the other hand, E5200 has much lower thermal and electrical specs.

Get the E5200. Its newer architecture and its a wolfdale with lower fsb. The C2D branding dont mean jack..Wolfdales are good overclockers. You would have no problem reaching 4ghz. Overclock both to their max and youll see the E5200 leaves the other wet in the pants..
