mini-itx NAS / torrent box suggestions

mga bossing, i'm planning to build my own home server / NAS / torrent box. basically, on ni nga system 24/7. ang tasks niya kay mag torrent at the same time NAS. i've had ideas, pero di lang ko sure if kaya sa akong specs ang task as a NAS. (linux-based lang siya, or basin mag FreeNAS ra ko). also, if possible maka play 1080p na video para magamit siya as HTPC if ever walay mag gamit sa server.

proposed specs:
MSI E350IA-E45 (AMD Fusion)
2GB Corsair Value RAM (DDR3)
3 x 2TB Samsung (F3/F4) EcoGreen
1 x Kingston 16GB SSDNow S100

[1]should i opt for a little more horse power? if so, unsa inyo ma-suggest na cpu-mobo combination?

[2]also, i need a case na kaya ang 3 ka 3.5" ug 1 ka 2.5" na dili kaayo dako, mas maayo if gamay.

[3]in my estimation ~300W na supply lang ang kelangan. sakto ba?

if budget is not the issue in buying a case with psu. i recommend silverstone sg05 with FSP 300watts sfx 80+ certified psu.

kani TS. pero order basis lang. wala pa pod ni sa manila.

kanang mga motherboards na mu support hot swapping/plug ba. Pwede rana i.disconnect ang SATA cable from the HDD instantly while the OS is running?

but i use this kay apil mani sa akoa case (abs canyon 695)

Still looking pud ko unsa gwapo na OS. (na NAS + HTPC)

ako gigamit kay WHS (windows home server) BUT is not capable of playing videos directly. The best feature niya is the file system ug suppa fast file transfer rates (tested nako sa moa LP). Imagine you having 12TB and most of the LP users wants to leech for you... mu-hang ang win7 (dili ka makagamit sa console)

bale sa ABS Canyon 695 2x3 (hot-swap) ang nasa likod ana kay isa ka 4pin molex (for the power) then naa 3 ka sata port. So ang connection Mobo -> 6 sata data connector -> plug to the hot swap green pcb


with xbmc i use with conjunction with Media Companion (used for movie & tv show scrapper)
MC will download information from imdb then pics/posters/fanart (various website) on each particular movie, tv show episode you set (mas paspas ang scraper sa MC than the builtin sa xbmc imho)

Bag.ohay ra ko kagamit aning XBMC...currently using all the built in and so far so good. I should try that Media Companion plugin for XBMC for the scrapper.

Is this where you got your media companion: Media Companion ? Coz I don't think it will work on linux coz it's exe.
