Acer Laptop Charging Problem

Hi there,
I have been having a problem for quiet a while with my acer laptop.
It was perfectly working until i encountered a problem with the charging.
When the laptop is on and u plug in the ac adapter, it doesnt charge or do anything.
To get it to charge, you have to turn it off , then plug the ac adapter.
I really need help with this problem!

the problem is the ac adapter reciever dha sa imong board. same issue with toshiba laptops. you have no choice but to charge it 1st before you use it.
