I cleaned my two colonies of B. dubia today and remove the dirt that was accumulated by the bugs.

My estimate from what I've seen in their dirt:

Adults - around 3 or more pcs
Sub-adults - more than 10 pcs
Juvenile - A LOT! not less than 150 pcs

Pero maapil ug dala ang dirt kay lisud kaayo kuhaon sila from the dirt. What you can do is, hulata lang sila managko para mas sayon pilian. Besides, the dirt makes those dubias grow faster.

@ Richard1318: Yes, usa ra ka set. Mag clean ko every 3-5 months unya ibaligya nako ang dirt including the dubias.


Sa una I use to put the dirt in a large plastic and spray insecticide on it to make sure wala ma introduce nga species sa ecosystem pero sayang sa plastic and pesticide when I can sell them and make someone else happy.
