Is vanity a sin?

I have always been a lover of natural beauty but I am surrounded of vain people who are not contented by God's gift to them. I am wondering is it a sin to be so vain about yourself...is it wrong to be not contented with the way you look...

i think that depends on how u see it. if it's like obsession already, then it could be a sin or could lead u to do something sinful if it's just like having a tough beauty regimen or a vast collection of make-ups or even hardrive's worth of self portraits, well, there are a lot of people like that already hehehe

ok raman in a sense na ur making urself presentable and neat not only for others pero for u to feel good and confident pud sa imo self. pero kanang mura na ka maparanoid sa imo dagway, lahi napud na. heheheh

Vanity is when you think you are the prettiest woman in the world and you feel that no one compares to you. When you are happy about yourself and you feel good about yourself then that is not vanity, its Confidence so its not a sin.
