Okay, I'm here to help. But first let me share my opinion. I respect your feelings, but I suggest that you look at other people's reactions here as part of the business preparation. Afterall, we don't meet nice customers only...there are sarcastic ones too and whether we like it or not, we should keep our cool.

Okay, for the purchases. Ako kay tingub tingub ni ako kay tapulan ko mang grocery. If I buy a few items lang and have to fall in line and wait that long, I get frustrated and angry at the slow cashier and the people who don't bag their items (I propose that we bag our items, folks!. Makapadali ni sa linya). So I buy mga once in 2 or 3 months for personal care and household items: 2 big tubes of toothpaste, 2-3 big bottles of shampoo, 4-5 bars of soap, 1 bottle of liquid bath soap, 1 kilo of detergent powder, some detergent bars, 1 regular bottle of dishwashing liquid, 1 bottle of fabric conditioner, 4 rolls toilet paper, 4 packs sanitary pads, 1-2 packs cotton buds, 2 big bottles of Zonrox, 1 big bottle of muriatic acid, etc. This is good for a single person, as in single, walay family), then kanang detergent wala kaayu na ma-kwenta kay sometimes I pay for laundy.

My auntie does the weekly purchases for food like meat, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, milk, Milo, canned goods, etc. Different kinds of meat--beef, chicken, pork, goat's meat (yes) nga tag 1-2 kilos, fish around 1-2 kilos also, assorted vegetables usually carrots, potatoes, cabbage, gabi, squash by small packs lang. Garlic, onions, peppers, ginger, etc. by small packs gihapon.

i appreciate your response, actually im not mad, as a businessman i learned to be patient, but i would assume people who log in on this sight would have been professionals, if not i odn't know what they are. i was just saying if they don't have anything to say nice, they can keep it to themselves. istorya.net is for people with common sense and respect to fellow istoryans, those who does not have control with their own personality, there's always some place they belong, with people like them.

hey! chill out! we were just asking! and if u think he was annoying just leave him off wagging his tail ok? anyways, i think u should do random sampling on this one cuz u'll have to take this one by one.
i could help u with this one since its part of my profession as well.

for random sampling, i believe u have to focus on what market are u targeting. since every market have different needs. take for example a grocery store, they are actually catering a lot of market. from teens, babies, parents, & other general items. right? this is really need cuz since with these data u can actually actualize the real market with population data u've collected (population data can be take from NSO's webstie). hmmmmmmm....how will i say this in simple words.

sa girls nga teeanager, lets say there's only about 10000 females ages 13-19 living within cebu city. there's actually a statistical formula for random sampling wherein u all u need to survey are about 20 girls only . then with the survey's result u'l be able to come up with a certain conclusion to it. ex. 8 girls in the survey said they usually include 1 bottle of conditioner everytime they buy something in the grocery...so that's about 25% of the whole survey...then take it generaly by just simply multiplying it to the whole population so...25% of 10000 females that wud be 2500. but since u take it generally u need to establish a percentage error (this actually depends on the random-ness of ur population). if ur percentage error is about 10%, so the taking it generally again (.10 x 2500 = 250; 2500 - 250 = 2250) total population of girls who includes a bottle of conditioner in their grocery is about 2250 probably in this case frequency is also needed esp nga ang market sa grocery store is very much sensitive and very much scattered. also, u also have to take note that some items in a grocery are seasonal...so bali, lisod lisod jud ni imo buhaton...to items all items are not that easy...

try to see what are their fast moving or top selling items and the frequency sa kana nga items nga mahalin...
mas specific pana kay sa survey... believe me!

anyways, for ur help, these are the items i usually include - bath soap, shampoo, deodorant, panti-shield, instant pancit canton, noodles, oatmeal, eggs, patis, suka, laundry powder soap, tuna, sardines, sanitary napkin, toothpaste....maura kay ang uban dili man jud nako pirmi paliton kung mag grocery ko!

sa inyong FS, nagfocus ramo sa marketing? how about sa systems & financial? hope di sab na ninyo maka limtan kay usually bya mahitabo kay makalimtan na cya focus more on how the business will sell and not how it will be run and how much expenses it will have...
