Back in the 80s 'Pogs' became a worldwide fad and Coca Cola produced and released their own sets of Pogs and Slammers for their 'Pog Coke Panalo' ad campaign. Every kid used to fervently check every coke bottlecap they can find to see if they won or not. Since then, most of these pogs have been thrown away and lost in time. But I am hopeful that some have survived either tucked away in the back rooms of your ancestral houses or stashed inside one of your lolo or lola's old storage boxes. If you do find them, give me a nudge as I am looking forward to be able to purchase these unique, vintage pieces of 80s filipino life!

TS how much are you willing to pay for Pogs and slammers?

Between 4-12 pesos per pog ako offer. Depende ra pod sa condition. Ang problema man gud kay usually ang mga sellers naay emotional attachment ani, so taas au ila pangayo. Even though they might seem rare (since less people are selling) the thing is, the people that do sell, they will have a stockpile of hundreds of pogs hidden away.

For me, Im not buying for resale, if you sell to me, you are assured that they are going to someone who appreciates them for their historic relevance and significance for Filipino 80s life because I also share/teach my nephews og nieces about stuff from the old days. Humana ko share nila sa mga dampa, jolen, sungka, og mga games dili kinahanglan og kuryente or internet.

So yup, depende sa condition nila ang offer and hope I can find one where walay emotional attachment ayo ang seller heheh.

By the way Code Talker, the other collection I have that I think is worthwhile is my currency collection (mga Philippine bills and coins) nga out of circulation na. good job TS making this effort to look for Pogs to buy. I also share with the younger generation of my family the "fun and entertainment" I had without too much technology involved. too bad I think all my Pogs were either burned/thrown away.

OT: btw taga asa? u use "lantaw" that's not a common word cebuanos use. lol

Aww oo, kahinumdum pod ko ato... naa pa gani to mga christmas designs, og kato pod ilang mga truck attack. Usa pod sa ako jud untang ganahan i collect balik kay kato gani pod xmen mga stickers nga pakapin sa ovaltine? Kahinumdum jud ko sa una ni cut classes mi sa ako classmate nga bugoy, nya ni adto mi sa grocery then amo gikawat tanang stickers hahahah. Wala pa man gud cctv sa una lol
