GAME ASSIGNMENT #2

Topic/Theme is [b]I AM BUT A SMALL LIFE"
This theme is dedicated to anything macro / close-up shots of living things (particularly animals, bugs,etc.).
I'm giving an advantage to photographers using Point & Shoot cameras. Most of it can support macro shooting with no additional cost while with our dSLRs we need to use a macro lens.

Start date: Wednesday, October 4, 2006
Deadline for Submission of entries: Tuesday, October 17, 2006, 12NN. (EXTENDED!)

Prize: 10 CDR's in spool? sakto ba? kato ako na daug.. heheh...

i vote for entry 1. nice bokeh. though it would've been better if these were jelly beans or something more colorful. nice DOF.
i don't understand the concept of entry 2. sorry. unsa na cya, tuyom? hehe

Thisbe: entry 2 is an insect.
Both of these guys are not using real macro lenses by the way...

My vote goes to entry # 2... it is a live insect (or whatever that is) which somewhat related to our theme, the composition is good... a bit of post processing would make this one better, most especially cropping and color tone...

entry # 1... composition is good, subject is ok but these little guys, you can't see em move or hmm... you really can't see any of them.. hehe... on the upper part of the photo, big amount of CA is visible, PP is needed to remove those unwanted colors...

Question lang... why are people afraid to post for GAME 2? so simple yet nobody is joining. Point & Shoot users? you guys have an advantage. Busy? ok... afraid to lose? afraid to be commented? oh well... 5 entries for game 1... 2 for game 2... maybe 1 for game3? LOL!

my vote goes to #2 - fits the title given, i think "til-as" (a kind of caterpillar or something) man siguro ni. mas nindot unta siguro kung pun-an gamay ang iya depth of field kay sobra ra ka narrow that only a small portion of the head and a very narrow strip of the ground is in focus.

#1 is also ok in terms of composition... but this would have been nicer if it were more colorful.

#1 is cute. it is surprising to know that those little things might be alive. pero lang, makalibat kaayo ang ibabaw sa picture.

#2 that little hairy thing is cute (though it might be itchy to the touch). it captures the curiosity. too much blurr, though. i think the texture of the pebbles (pebbles ba na?) could've made a good contribution to the pic.

i choose #2.

I choose #2. I like the hairy little dude! Hehe... He does fit the theme.

The top part of #1 is a bit distracting due to the colors.
