Why Shoot Through?

There are a number of advantages with a shoot through riser design...
Totally Balanced

With most conventional style risers the bulk of the weight is on one side of the sight window. You then have to fix the sight onto that side as well which makes the finished bow very one-side heavy. Our eXact riser is intrinsically balanced. The eXact shoot through riser also has the opportunity to put the sight on either side, giving the best possible balance to the bow. We find for right handed archers, the best side for the sight to be is on the left side of the riser.
Inherently Strong

Slow motion video footage shows that our eXact riser does not flex at all during the shot, unlike conventional risers which flex into the sight window. Strength without the weight!
Ambidextrous

The eXact riser is 100% interchangeable between right and left handed archers

Shoot Through Cable System:

The concept of Shoot Through is what the Alternative range of compounds bows is all about.
We were the very first anywhere in the world to produce a shoot through cable system for a single cam compound bow!
This system negates the use of a cable guard and hence removes any lateral forces on the cables and limb tips therefore preventing twisting of the limbs or torque in the shot.
Alternative Sporting Services invented Equilibric Technology which is inherent in all our designs. This provides a totally balanced system giving you straight nock travel, less wasted energy and a smoother feel to the bow during the shot.


Single Cams:

An inherently balanced single cam for our shoot through system.
Standard or Mini Cam.
Draw Length Adjustment: This is done by individual 1" (approx.) step modules that can be changed without the need of a bow press or dismantling the bow in any way. You need only undo two screws! Extra sets of modules can be purchased separately if required.
All Single Cams are black coloured.
Standard model available in High Let-off: 71% or Low Let-off: 65% options.
IBO speed: 313fps
Twin Cams:

For those wanting a conventional twin cam.
Standard or Mini Cam.

Alternative bows can be produced to suit most archers needs; from short draw, low weight models up to long draw, heavy weight models.

36 1/2" (approx) with standard 16" limbs
39" (approx) with extra long 17" limbs.
The inherent stiffness of these limbs turns a slightly reflex riser into a bow that aims steadier than many deflex risers giving you the best of both worlds, with a quick bow (in excess of 300fps IBO) and a steady forgiving shot normally only attributed to a long axle slow deflex riser.
All limbs are silver coloured with a single black "Alternative" logo on lower limb and "eXact" logo on upper limb.
Limb pockets are available in bright silver or black.
