i would recommend DELL inspiron 1440 for a budget around 32K... macbook is way more expensive.. same as sony vaio and the dell studio xps...

get 13" macbookpro and upgrade HDD to 500GB and ram to 4gb and get SnowLeopard x64 OS, bugat ang 15" and the 13" can do anything the 15" can just with a smaller screen, but its lighter and power efficient.
