Square Enix has launched a new label for its mature-rated game releases.
The publisher’s Western developed games rated CERO D (17+) and CERO Z (18+) will now launch under the Square Enix Extreme Edges label.
President Yoichi Wada told Famitsu (via Silicon Era) that the new label would make the titles easily identifiable for those that sought them or wanted to avoid them.
In addition to Eidos titles, Square Enix publishes Activision’s games in Japan.
Earlier this year, Nintendo of Japan began packaging all Wii games rated CERO C (15+) in black boxes.
