Lightsaber Effect with Adobe Photoshop?

got an idea how to do it with adobe photoshop?

please post step-by-step instruction...

im not quite familiar with adobe photoshop...

try:

draw a thin and long rectangle on a layer. right click the layer and adjust gradient,light colors will do. and apply "outer glow".

to clarify AMD's technique : make a new layer, draw an elongated oblong or something similar, double click on the layer to bring up the layer effects menu, then check and tweak the outer glow effect.

I saw a tutorial for this over at www.teamphotoshop.com years ago, it might still be there so check it out.
