Thread: NIKON or CANON?

  1. #1

Default which handles lowlight better,NIKON or CANON?

Im planning to buy a DSLR...
can you help me decide between the two...
I read somewhere (not here) na kung lowlight kuno, ang CANON ngitngit ang output then dili kaayo clear, while sa NIKON daw even with lowlight clear daw even with the highest ISO (ambut sakto ba na ako panulti/terms) kay Im not familiar pa. What I read made me remember my CANON point and shoot I forgot unsa to na model, everytime I take shots in lowlight bisan naa flash or unsa pa na pahayag na settings ako gamiton, medyo ngitngit gihapon. then I traded my CANON point&shoot with my moms SONY Cybershot with Carl Zeiss lens, mas ganahan ko kay mas hayag ang mga outputs mas limpyo ang kuha........

it really doesn't matter... nearly all of today's dSLR cameras are already
capable of taking clean low light photos at high ISOs. and pair it off with
a lens or... if you can... one with optical stabilization.

it sounds like your experience is with point&shoots. even if you select
manual settings your selection is still usually very limited. and the small
sensors churn out noisy pics at high ISOs. and learn how a camera's
meter works and also about flash. try your old canon with flash slow sync
and I believe you will be able to get brighter pictures.

as for whether Nikon, Canon, Sony, Pentax, or whatever I suggest shoot
what the majority of your friends are shooting so you can trade/borrow
    lenses, and accessories.

    cheers!

been in this situation before, the best help i got from this forum was, "use what your friends use" and "try booth, and decide which fits to your preference". and bawal sad ni nga thread imu gihimo, please read forum rules, soon ma close ra gihapon ni.

research lang sa bro, Digital Cameras: Digital Photography Review, News, Reviews, Forums, FAQ is a nice site to start.
