Hey guys, Why and how did magellan discovered the Philippines?

IF you are the first one to find it hence you discovered it, right?



But when magellan went to mactan or cebu... he saw people living on that island... hence he/they/spaniards did not discovered it. right?

Hmmm, I supposed even chinese traders and indonesians are already trading swords and stuff with the natives here, even before they spaniards came. hence, he did not really discovered this island...
