hello all! I was wondering how much farm land costs in the Philippines..?? I've been looking online for some cheap land that is flat just like in the pics of the land here:
expatriates.com - Philippines - Real Estate For Sale - 8.5 Hectares Developed Mango Farm for sale in San Juan, Batangas
the land there is very beautiful to me but it's too expensive. I would like to focus on land that is maybe Php5/sqm - Php10/sqm and I'm looking to purchase a lot of land. Maybe like 30-70 hectares or more if possible. I don't want to spend over $50,000 if at all possible. I really would like the land to be located in an area that is tsunami and typhoon free. This is very important because those two things are from what I understand about the Philippines the two biggest threats that threaten my future farm. Also I prefer it to be in a location that is devoid of any dangerous land animals such as pythons or cobras or dangerous criminal activity such as down south anywhere near Mindanao. I'm tempted as well to additionally hope for somewhere that has a good nightlife but I think anywhere will suffice for that maybe... :S
My plans for the land is to start a huge farm with every kind of animal that I can think of on it. Ostriches, pigs, horses, cows, dogs, cats, llamas, alpacas, bees, caribou, mongoose, peacock, sheep, goats, lambs, chickens, etc. Many fruit, nut, and hard/softwood trees (mahogany, ebony, etc.) as well will be there. My fiancee is a filipina from Ilocos norte so I will be putting the land in her name. I know this is very risky because if we get a divorce OR god forbid something should happen to her, ALL the land will go to her or her family and I get nothing. However as soon as we get married, we plan on having kids so if something happens then at least the land will be theirs and NOT her families. I get along with her family ok so that's not a huge problem but I know how quickly relationships can sour when land/money/possessions come into play. My kids wouldn't kick me out so that should work out fine. I can't think of anything more now so... any ideas on the best websites where I can begin my search for cheap farmland in the Philippines? thanks from Hawaii!!
