hmm.. ngkaproblem lang jud ko recently.. gainang gabii lang gyud.. when i turned on my pc, i surfed/browsed sa net, then mga 5mins (or less) after, nkabantay ko ug mrag hang-up or kana busy ayu akong browser (i'm using IE 6) then ako giclose, dugay cya naclose.. but the other 1 which i opened (this site, still using IE 6) ok ra wlay hang-up.. akong gi-end process using ctrl+alt+del ang IE.. naclose cya.. then taod2, i'm experiencing sudden slight slowdown everytime moopen ko ug bago nga IE to browse, then inig open nako sa task manager (ctrl+alt+del),unusual kaayu kay ang under sa performance tab, constant 100% or near 100% ang CPU usage, which is never jud mahitabo sa akoa nga constant cya ingon ana.. and i noticed new entry sa akong processes.. i had a bad feeling.. so i Logged off.. when i logged in balik, that's when my problem came out..

akong desktop nausab lang ug kalit while starting up and loading up icons, nahimog blue nga naay suwat nga warning blah blah, which i bet nga hinimo ra to og part sa kaboang sa gahimo ato nga virus o trojan ba kaha.. it blocks most of my applications (mrag tanan gyud tngale), i cant open my AVG, task manager dli sad, ms word, msconfig, and even ms paint dli pod.. ako man tana buhatan og screenshot but i cudnt open paint, so ako nlng gipicturan sa fon.. (i'll just post the pics soon, d man gud dayun nako matransfer gkan sa fon kay wla koy card reader pa)..

for the mean time, ako nlng sa edescribe iyang modus hehe.. ig startup, mugawas/mu-run dayun ang mrag antivirus "kunuhay" nga Total Security, i don't even hav that installed in my system, and duna cyay mga results results nga buot2, naa kunuhay cyay mga nadetect nga virus, trojans and backdors.. when it automaticaly performs the scan, mura man ug tinuod nga ngscan cya sa system nako, kay makita man akong programs as if iya giscan (ex. C:\Games\Crysis\....).. but when i examined it, sa results, kinda funny coz wla man sa akoang mga programs ang paths, and i think nga binuhat rajud to daan ang results.. ngduha2 jud ko nga clean/remove threats, so akong giclose tong scaner2 kunuhay kay bacn naay buhaton niya kung akong eselect ang clean.. then taod2 naa dayun nigawas nga murag page, an Ordering Page then naay mga price and 30day etc, and naa pa jud "money back guarantee" for that crappy and fraud product (i realyl don't trust the product).. hehe heads-up lang, mura jud cya og makailad, for those unexperienced users, mura jud cya ug antivirus kunuhay kay naa sad cyay UI nga mura ug antivirus gyud.. but i doubt if functional ba sad iyang mga functions.. the funny thing is tingala jud ko nganu naa to cya, wla man gani ko kadum2 ng instol ko adto.. and i did performed Search Files adto kung naa ba jud sa akong drives..

for the experts:
1. possible for scam purpose ra gyud to sir?
2. navirusan na ba jud kaha akong pc? or maholog nga adware ra to cya nga gabuot2 nga infected akong pc so i'd fall for it? i rily doubt nga naay virus pod daan akong pc coz i avoid sites nga naay threats.
3. if ever nga virus na jud to cya, tongod ba kaha kay akong giDMZ host akong pc sa router? hehe karon ako na gidisable kay bacn nya mao to dahilan.
4. but putting your pc in DMZ doesn't disable my personal firewall and antivirus man dba? only the router's firewall?

what you got there bro.. is the 'Antivirus System Security Pro'

its a rogue virus, acting as if its a true legit AV software.. and it will tell you to scan your pc and along the way.. wants you to buy something.. Your not the only one who got hit by this virus..

popups on your pc will keep on blocking your normal access of your windows application, also sometimes preventing you from opening or accessing infos online or even your webmail..

best option would be to boot your pc in safemode.. open up your c:\program files.. and look for any suspicious folder that would say Personal Antivirus or PAV.. delete that.. and also might as well look into your c:\documents & settings\desktop and again.. look for any antivirus pro.lnk (or something to that effect) and again delete it..

best of all... you can just try doing a system restore on your pc, and put it on a restore point, prior to you getting this virus on your computer.

try lang combofix, noobkiller, malwarebytes, spybot, and your own antivirus.. do it on safemode!

yup, nawala man wen i did a restore, and then ako na gistop ang DMZ.. so rogue virus diay to cya.. nagperform dayun ko ug scan with my free AVG antivirus, ala man threats found.. silbi nadelete cya during restoration?

questions lang mga sir..
1. what wud hapen if akong gipadayun lang iyang scan2 then i chose to clean/remove threats in its options? can it really do sumting on my files? like delete them destroy or modify?
2. what does it do? mangblock lang ug mga apps from running?
3. how do we acquire it? makalusot lang gyud na cla ug mga antivirus nga mga free?

I dont recommend to enable System Restore, why? because some viruses will infect the restore point, bisan balik balik pa ninyo ug clean, inig balik ninyo sa restore point naa gihapon ang virus.

ahh.. mao diay sauna nakasuway ko nga naay nigawas nga Volume information..restore{numbers,etc} pgscan nako.. mainfected sad diay ang mga restore points..

but kini karon, nkatabang mn nuon ang system restore..

maybe someone accidentally clicked on a fake virus scan which resulted to that virus.
i strongly suggest you switch to firefox, the latest one.
IE browsers are way more vulnerable to viruses.

also, make sure you clean all temporary internet files from the Documents and Settings folder. ALL of them, for all user folders, 'coz most viruses will stick on those files and continue to infect your computer.
documents and settings -> check all user folders -> local settings -> temporary internet files AND temp files -> delete all the files there.
