    gigabyte nga board ep45 ud3p.

    dili sa monitor.

inig press nako sa power button sa akong cpu (case power button) mo on and cpu for 1 sec then mo off then mo on dayon to boot.

At first I thought sa BIOS setting ni, pero di man guro cause wala man koy gi change sa power management. And not sure also if the power management options in the bios are causing this.

maybe your power button is shorted. try the reset button as power button on the header wires to your mobo.

ang chipset na nimo nag switch ug FSB straps. common on P35s and P45s. DFI ra ang naka address daw ana nga symptoms, my gigabyte does the same thing.

the explanation is that the motherboard doesn't keep settings related to FSB straps so when the computer is turned off and the residual power drained, it forgets what strap it was in. when you turn it back on, as soon as the BIOS is read and it finds out what the FSB strap should be, the computer turns off to switch to it then turns right back on and continues the boot up process using the pre-defined FSB strap (200, 266, 333, 400)

normal on P3x and P4x series chipsets as i've said. i've seen this issue on my gigabyte and the asus maximus II gene board, pero mas nice mo handle ang maximus kay it doesn't take that long to switch to a strap. while it may be a good thing for gigabyte to scan if the setting is stable before it attempts to complete POST, the amount of bootup process is increased significantly.
