Are you a Messiah? Buddha replied; No
Are you A Healer? again the Buddha replied; NO
Are you a Teacher? NO

exasperated the student ask once more, then what are you? The Buddha replied... I AM AWAKE!

kanang buddhism hilig kaayo na sila ug ingon ani noh? kanang parable nga conversations between student and teacher.. so enigmatic..so mind-boggling..

..ingon sila para kuno ni maka reflect and ponder ang student...pero most of the time,dili man ko maka kuha sa meaning..basin dili pa ko enlightened..hehe

good one. i have always admired Buddhas philosophy. some of Buddha's greatest words:

"In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true. "

"Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace."

I think because they are not concern about influencing people to worship, Buddha is not a God that they worship but the followers of Buddhism follows his teachings to attain enlightenment or Nirvana. Followers of Buddhism can become Buddha themselves once they attain Nirvana.

I certainly agree with this.

Sa ako lang no, Buddhism is a thought provoking way of thinking. No framework, no structures, the brain chooses to work for you instead of someone's dictating. just my 2 cents worth.

Wisdom of Buddha...


All that we are is the RESULT of what we have THOUGHT. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure(correct or right not the holy sense of the christian version) thought , happiness follows him like a shadow that never leaves him.




Do not dwell in the past. Do not dream(fantasize) of the future, concentrate the mind on the PRESENT moment.
