Looking for Comic Artist / Illustrators / Creative Artist

Greetings!

Well, as you can read in the topic I am looking for a good Cartoon Artist who can be part of my team.Â*

I’m the Project Coordinator and Marketing Head of a particular team.Â* This team was created out of my passion and to put our ideas into action. We have our own portfolio mostly of web, banner, poster and programming projects.Â* I have a stable job and running this team helps me and my members to excel what we want outside our cubicle, maximize our potentials aside from earning extra cash during our free time. That’s where creativity comes in as far as I’m concern.

All of my members are freelance artists and has a stable job or working at a particular company. Our team doesn’t have an office because we do things over the Internet.Â* We enjoy the work at the comfort of our own room.Â* We only meet when needed and chat or communicate with each other using all technologies available.

Going back to the topic at hand…

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Some College students / Fine Arts students / Professionals in Advertising

Experience: 1 year or as long as your confident with your skills

Languages: Speak English, Write English (of course Cebuano)

Area of Design Specialization: Sketching, Drawing, Cartoon Character Designing, knows how to enhance his work using computer and other special programs (digital part an advantage)

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Freehand, Photoshop, Illustrator, must have his own computer, scanner and Internet access

Essential Skills: Critical Thinking, Continuous learning (if possible with high patience), with good leadership skill

Means of Communication: SMS, Yahoo Messenger, Chikka, Email (and Landline) – if no load make sure to miss call me using your landline and I will call you.Â* Being a Project Coordinator, communication and constant update is very important to me.

Other Information: Ideal candidate will be creative, have an ability to take specific direction in a collaborative and fast-paced production environment, and live in Cebu.Â* Demonstrate strong animation and story telling skills.Â* The artist can work around between school or a day time job.Â* Must have strong cartoon illustration skills, series experience a plus. Exhibit interests whatever concept is formulated and is hyperactive like me.Â* I don’t want to sacrifice quality for quantity.

Other Requirements:
a) This is a weekly work.Â* Of course the artist would have a 2 – 3 months lead of work so it doesn’t catch up with you that much

b) Able to produce action sequences in an awesome way.Â* The story has a LOT of action.Â* So it needs to be portrayed in a way the viewer will be amazed

I am quite a flexible guy, I know we are all humans and that we have problems every once in a while.Â* I perfectly understand that and have no problems in delaying work but as much possible give time for each particular task. Also, the artist has a lot of freedom.Â* I give basic information on characters and from there the artist will develop the characters.Â* The artist can suggest stuff, change things he thinks look better, etc.Â* This is a cooperative work with the artist, the script writer and me as the Project Coordinator, and always will stay so.

I am NOT a big fan of Manga / Anime characters.Â* I am bit a hyper person so I sleep late at night tinkering in front of the computer (not playing games)…sometimes I sleep past 12 mid night when meeting deadlines.Â* I’m quite a funny person but serious at times.Â* I only know how to do charcoal painting but this is a thing in the past.

Your work will be released through my website and I will give you due recognition.Â* I will promote you like a celebrity.Â* Also, I already have contacts where to publish your work.Â* This is a profit sharing, so you have nothing to worry.Â* I am friendly and fair with my artists. Actually it’s a win-win scenario if you look at it.

An excerpt from Jeremy's synopsis:

It's a story of four teens after their untimely deaths, who are able to harness the four forces of nature's elements to put an end on the havoc of the evil entities that are spreading chaos and dissent among the inhabitants of their nation.
