The first Trinity APUs to release will be A10-5800K, A10-5700, A8-5600K and A8-5500 - all quad-core APUs, releasing in Q2 2012. These will be followed by A6-5400K and A4-5300 dual-core in Q3 2012. All Trinity APUs will fit into a new socket - FM2. The general branding is consistent with Llano, except A8 is now A10, A6 is A8, A4 is A6 and E2 is A4. E2 branding is now dedicated to Brazos 2.0.

The top Trinity APU for desktop in Q2 will be A10-5800K. 2 Piledriver modules with 4 cores will be clocked at 3.8 GHz with Turbo Core upto 4.2 GHz. The HD 7660D IGP will feature a total of 384 SP. While this may seem lower than the 400 SP in Llano's HD 6550D, Trinity's GPU features the more efficient VLIW-4 architecture, packing in 6 SIMDs. Proportionately, the progression is identical from the one seen with HD 5870 to HD 6970 (1600 VLIW-5 to 1536 VLIW-4). Moreover, the HD 7660D is clocked at 800 MHz - 33% higher than HD 6550D. A10-5800K features a TDP of 100W and an unlocked multiplier, like the A8-3870K. A10-5700 fits in at only 65W. Despite the modest TDP, the 5700 surprisingly only features slight reductions in clock speeds. The base clock is down to 3.4 GHz, while Turbo is 4.0 GHz - only 0.2 GHz below A10-5800K. The GPU clock is down by 40 MHz to 760 MHz. The GPU is still branded HD 7660D, suggesting that AMD feels the difference from 5800K's 800 MHz is not significant enough.A8 series also features 2 module / quad-core APUs, but with some 2 GPU SIMDs disabled. This leaves 256 SP, clocked at 760 MHz, branded HD 7560D. Like A10, A8 also includes to SKUs - 100W, unlocked multipler A8-5600K and 65W locked A8-5500. A8-5600K's CPU clocks at 3.6 GHz / 3.9 GHz turbo, while A8-5500 is down to 3.2 GHz / 3.7 GHz turbo. The GPU clock for A8-5500 remains unchanged at 760 MHz.A6-5400K and A4-5300 will only release in Q3, which may be why the clocks are still TBD. Both are 65W dual-core APUs. Surprisingly, the L2 cache is listed at only 1MB, whereas we know 1 Piledriver module features 2MB L2 cache. A6-5400K features HD 7540D with 192 SP, while A4-5300's HD 7480D has only 2 active SIMDs with 128 SP. Unlike all other Trinity APUs, A4-5300 is restricted to 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM and does not allow Dual Graphics with discrete Radeon GPUs. Source: DonanimHaber
