    Default wireless problem: acquiring network address


    guys, can you help me figure this out kung ngano ing-ani?

    linksys wireless router -----wireless connection-------> pc1 & pc2

    both are working perfectly fine pero sometimes and pc1 kay dugay makakuha ug IP sa linksys, resulting to "acquiring network address" ra iya butang sa status nya. i need to manually disconnect it and reconnect it.which is a hasle kay layo man cya. And while doing this, pc2 is working just fine.

    sometimes maka acquire rapud cya...pero sahay gyud.i manual ug reconnect or restart the pc.

    i access pc1 and pc2 remotely. and having no wireless connection has nothing to do with pc turned off. kay ako na gipatan-aw.and its ON. lisod lang gyud cya connect sometimes unya dili maka recover from acquiring. any solution?

    try to update the firmware of your linksys router.

    is it the prob of the linksys? but the other pc attains it without a problem..

    are you using dongle on your PC1?
    try to download a new driver for that dongle.

    nop. actually its an onboard wireless card. its a mini PC.

    i have the same issue with my compaq laptop. All the other wifi-enabled gadgets (Neo laptop, N95 & P1i) i have here are working perfectly except lang jud sa ako compaq. Inig tan aw nako sa signal strength niya kay unstable kaayo as compared sa ako uban gadgets. Router is also linksys.

    what's the brand and model of your mini-pc and your wireless router?

    check in the services: DHCP client, set this one to automatic nalang and not disabled.

    try to test another wifi device (usb wifi dongle) on pc1
