VB6 development for education?

We are having VB6 at my school this semester, and they are using a pretty old version of the software.
And since MS doesn't support VB6 anymore, how do I start developing VB6 apps?
I mean, what and where should I download?
I installed MS Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition for VB6, but it is different from the one at school (not just how it looks, but the coding as well)
I won't be doing much with VB6, just for educational purposes.

And I would like to just get it myself from some source than asking from my professor (that would be my last resort).

gud am bro. ako lng advise if mo go ka for .Net since wala na kaau suport ang old VB6, try mo nlang C#.Net ky mas dghan cya support sa net and even MS pushes C# as a language of choice of this platform.

i think ang vb2008 kay dili na vb6 its vb.net 2008. Different iya style and syntax sa coding. DL lang og ebook keysa mag palit ka. Naa daghan sa web.

yup, mas ok f mag download nlng ka mga ebook then tutorials(naa mn kha ka pc imo) then join forums, etc.. sa net dghan au resources.

bro ms visual studio 2008 is vb6, the whole thing is a .net programming language. its not vb6 its vb.net already, of course the code is different, but i suggest you study the .net rather than the vb6.
even thought ms doesnt vb6, you can still right code for vb6. pm lang sa mga tao ni post dri bro. maybe we can help you
