Vendor Recommendations: Socket 478 Mobo with PCI-E Support

wassup guys. as the lan party is coming near, i guess im giving my computer a minor upgrade so i can play gears of war, cod4 and tf2. i have found the motherboards that supports socket 478 and has a pci-e support. pero i dont know where to buy them. if you guys have an idea if asa ni sila possibly gi-baligya, please share

nah! nangita sab ko ani ky naguba na akng foxconn mobo pero naa koy nakitan website sa jumbo computer supplies sa hong kong naa sila mobo para sa s478 pero biostar ang brand mao ni ang model BIOSTAR P4M900-M4 VIA P4M900,Socket 478,M.ATX M/B, I hope inig adto nako sa hong kong naa pa ni ky liiiisssoood na kaayo pangitaon tinood ning mananapa para sa s478 since dugay na ning gi phase out sa market.

bitaw. obsolete na. pero sayang man gud ni akong p4 nga 3.20ghz. inig overclock nako usahay lapas gani ug 4.0ghz. plus, i dont feel the need to get a multicore nga processor which includes a total overhaul of the board, processor and videocard. kung mag-multitasking man ko matabang ra man sa akong 4.0ghz na clock speed. pero kung mag-gaming ko alangan bang magdagan ang daghan kaayong programs in background. multitasking ra akong benefit sa multicore, dili more power.

mas kusgan pa akong p4 kaysa sa q660 nga around 2.XX+ ghz ra gani ang clock speed. wala ta kabalo if maka-perform ang crysis sa akong pc if pci-e lang ang video card makakuha ko ug around 40-50fps diba?

Just a little food for thought sir, clock speed is not anymore the determining factor kung unsa ka powerful imo processor, especially the Q660, you mentioned, which is a quadcore processor.

Anyways about your motherboard, murag lisod gyd na pangita-on, sir. The brand new socket 478 boards I've seen being sold in Cebu are all AGP-based. Mas-dako cguro imo chance maka-palit yun-ana na board sa gawas (e.g. U.S. (newegg), Canada, etc., etc.).

Also you could try PC Express, as a special order. Pero Mahal gyud na kay special order man.

same here ... ngita ug socket 478 with PCI-e. I think last year to naa sa NUtech. sayanga wala nako mapalit dayon tsk tsk tsk.
