Rasheed Wallace (NBA)
Wallace has regularly led the NBA in technical fouls, which are usually doled out for badmouthing a referee or other miscellaneous fits, and he holds the league record for most technical fouls in a season. His reactions are usually fast since he is usually quickly ejected, but there have been times when he has needed to be restrained. Sometimes, it's even a teammate on the other end of his rage. In 2001, Wallace cursed and threw a towel in the face of fellow Trail Blazer Arvydas Sabonis in response to an inadvertent contact between the two. Surprisingly, he remained fairly calm during the Detroit Pistons-Indiana Pacers brawl in 2004.
Angriest moment: In 2001, he charged referee Gary Benson and threw a towel that grazed his face in response to being ejected. Wallace was fined $10,000 and was suspended for two games.

Bret Saberhagen (MLB)
Saberhagen was a three-time All-Star and a two-time Cy Young Award winner, but his attitude and consistency changed when he was traded to the New York Mets in 1991. He never adjusted to the spotlight in the Big Apple; his pitching quickly deteriorated and he frequently took his frustrations out on the media. He once hid bleach in a squirt gun and sprayed it all over reporters, nearly catching a couple in the eye.
Angriest moment: His worst attack against the media occurred when he threw a firecracker underneath a table near reporters. Luckily, no one was injured.

Milton Bradley (MLB)
This fiery outfielder has only been in the league for six seasons, but he already has a long track record of outbursts. If you question his hustle or his commitment, you're likely to get an earful like teammate Jeff Kent did. If you eject him from a game, you might get a bag of baseballs thrown your way like umpire Terry Craft did. His most highlighted tantrum came when a fan threw a plastic beer bottle at him; he walked over and whipped it back into the stands in the general vicinity of the culprit. There is nothing like watching a grown man melt down in front of 30,000 onlookers.
Angriest moment: In 2004, a police officer pulled over a car in which Bradley was a passenger, and he decided to get out of the car and scream at the officer. He then ignored police when asked to return to his vehicle and was subsequently arrested.

Jeff Tarango (Tennis)
Tarango was a professional tennis player who won two top-level professional singles titles and 14 doubles titles during his career, but his mark on history has more to do with quitting than playing. Tarango disagreed with umpires on several occasions, but instead of continuing his matches, he would just forfeit them. Maybe his motto was to quit while you're ahead.
Angriest moment: After defaulting a third-round match at Wimbledon, Tarango proceeded to tell the fans to "shut up" as he walked off the court. Then, to top it all off, his wife made her way to the umpire and slapped him in the face twice.

John McEnroe (Tennis)
McEnroe has been one of the faces of professional tennis for generations, but during that time, his face has displayed no shortage of displeasure. The seven-time Grand Slam winner has had more than a few fits in his time, all of them relating to umpire calls. He patented the line "you cannot be serious," as he would often use it as a retort to judges throughout his matches. That line and his "you're the pits of the world" caught on as catchphrases throughout the '80s.
Angriest moment: In 1980, McEnroe had a heated exchange with officials during a semi-final Wimbledon match against Jimmy Connors. Even though McEnroe won the game, he was booed by fans at his next game.

Albert Belle (MLB)
Belle was only the fourth player in Major League Baseball history to have eight consecutive seasons with at least 30 home runs and 100 runs batted in, but his off-field outbursts drew attention away from his on-field production. He dropped several expletives during a live interview with Hannah Storm, he chased down trick-or-treaters with his SUV and he clocked a heckler in the chest with a baseball. Not exactly a model citizen.
Angriest moment: After Belle's profanity-laced freestyle directed at Hannah Storm, the Cleveland Indians wanted him to apologize for his actions. He responded with even more resentment by saying: "The Indians wanted me to issue a statement of regret when the fine was announced, but I told them to take it out. I apologize for nothing."

Ron Hextall (NHL)
A violent temper isn't welcome in most places, but in the City of Brotherly Love, Ron Hextall was admired for his rage. In the conference finals in 1989, Hextall went out of his crease to attack an unsuspecting Chris Chelios with his stick and blocker pad. He did use his goalie stick to stop the puck on occasion, however, and he went on to win the Vezina and Conn Smythe trophies.
Angriest moment: In the 1987 Stanley Cup Finals, Hextall took the duty of protecting the goalie's crease upon himself; he wound up and took a two-handed slash on Kent Nilsson's knees with his goalie stick.

Carl Everett (MLB)
If there ever was an image of instability, it's Carl Everett. From his vacillating batting stance to his volatile temper, nothing gets in the way of a Carl Everett tantrum. In his first season with the Boston Red Sox in 2001, Everett snapped at an umpire, a manager, a coach, and two teammates. Quite obviously, Everett has not taken a liking to authoritative figures throughout his career.
Angriest moment: In 2001, he went off on umpire Ron Kulpa when Kulpa told him that his back foot was outside the batter's box and asked him to move it inside. Everett responded with an infamous face-to-face profanity-laced tirade.

Ryan Leaf (NFL)
Leaf, a former second overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft, will only be remembered for one thing: a poor attitude. Leaf bickered with everyone from his San Diego Chargers teammates to cameramen to the team's general manager. Classic Leaf moments include team members restraining him from a would-be quarrel with a heckler during a practice and veteran players pulling him away from a reporter in the locker room.
Angriest moment: Just mere weeks into his NFL career, a reporter asked Ryan Leaf why he was struggling with handling defensive pressure, and Leaf snapped at the reporter with the now-famous "knock it off" quote.

Vernon Maxwell (NBA)
Maxwell's friendly face and warm smile turned out to be quite deceiving, as his erratic behavior was a serious danger to society. His laundry list includes swinging free weights at teammates (Carl Herrera and Gary Payton), as well as pitching miscellaneous objects (ice and gum) at referees. Off the court, he's attacked a woman, knowingly infected another with herpes and skipped out on years of child supports payments. They didn't call him Mad Max for no reason.
Angriest moment: In 1995, Vernon Maxwell jumped into the stands in Portland to pummel a 35-year-old heckler. He was suspended for 10 games and fined $20,000.
