    Default HELP! Can't connect to the internet


    Guys, I need your help.

    Three weeks ago, I got a Globelines broadband account. They installed the modem, and it worked well for two days, then it conked out. I couldn't connect to the internet. The technician came and fixed it, okay na pud. When I turned the computer off and turned it back on, di na pud ka-connect sa internet. I called the tech support line, unya ingon sila i-check ang network cables, i-reset ang modem, and the usual script nga type ipconfig, etc. Nothing worked. According to him dili kuno ma-detect sa PC ang modem. So they thought modem ang problema. So gi-ilisan ang modem TWICE. Pero mao gihapon ang problema. Pag install sa modem, mu-work for one day or several hours, tapos pag off sa computer, mawala na pud internet connection and dili na gyud mubalik.

    The technician also told me my LAN card might be the problem, so I bought a new one and tested it at the center where I bought it. Internet there worked fine. Pero pag-abot sa balay, wa jud gihapo'y connection.

    Bale, di jud ma-detect sa PC ang akong modem. When I try pinging the modem, it says "destination host unreachable." When I try pinging my LAN card, okay man pud, ma-detect man niya.

    Also, when I start up the computer, naay error message nga mugawas "No DHCP and proxyDHCP were received" When that error message appears, di na jud ko makaconnect."

    I am at a loss na jud unsaon ni, I'm thinking it might be an issue with my PC, pero ang technician kay dili man nila maayo. I wish they could troubleshoot it better, para maka-connect na intawn ko.

    I'm not a tech-savvy person, so I'm hoping some of you guys can enlighten me on the issue. Please! Thanks in advance.

    unsa na klase sa modem sa globe imo gamit? kanang naka saksak sa usb port? or naka saksak sa LAN.

    hello bro.. wala lang na na tarong ug config imong modem, kong mao na...

    cloud, Siemens Speedstream 4200 akong gigamit, nakaconnect sa LAN.

    boyguapo, modem kaha? If that's the case, the technicians should have figured it out by now. Wa man gihapon oi. Is there anything I can do on my end kay I'm worried that problem sa computer ... usa pud sa ila solution, ingon i-reformat kuno ang ako PC.

    What lights in the modem are on or off? Check the LEDs and take note of what stays on or off.

    I'd also suggest that you request for a new modem, anything other than the Speedstream, as this line of modems have been discontinued (therefore, NO support left whatsoever).

    hello bro,
    ask lang ko ba, naa baka nakainstall na antivirus sa imu pc? kay ur connected bya sa internet, dba uve said na ok pa paginstall nila but after 2 days nagkaproblema? kay in the first place, nakaconnect man kaha sa internet... so there might be a case naigo ka ug virus....

    try the connection from safe mode with networking...if mo work there, chances are, you have an application installed in the system that is blocking access.

    basin nag install ka og firewall software, f nag install it might ang imong firewall e block imong connection.try to disable then try to connect

    try lang sa ilang sullotion.. kong mao na.. kay ila man sad na.. para ma check jud nimo kong sa pc nimo bro.. ang blema.. kay pagdala ug laptop sa inyo nya gamita ang imong internet kong ok ba... nya kong ok.. naa sa imon pc ang blema.. so, pwedi ka mag reformat.. basin naay corupted imong IE try use kuno ug mozila firefox nga browser kay mas ok na siya nga browser kay sa IE...
