Guys, I need your help.
Three weeks ago, I got a Globelines broadband account. They installed the modem, and it worked well for two days, then it conked out. I couldn't connect to the internet. The technician came and fixed it, okay na pud. When I turned the computer off and turned it back on, di na pud ka-connect sa internet. I called the tech support line, unya ingon sila i-check ang network cables, i-reset ang modem, and the usual script nga type ipconfig, etc. Nothing worked. According to him dili kuno ma-detect sa PC ang modem. So they thought modem ang problema. So gi-ilisan ang modem TWICE. Pero mao gihapon ang problema. Pag install sa modem, mu-work for one day or several hours, tapos pag off sa computer, mawala na pud internet connection and dili na gyud mubalik.
The technician also told me my LAN card might be the problem, so I bought a new one and tested it at the center where I bought it. Internet there worked fine. Pero pag-abot sa balay, wa jud gihapo'y connection.
Bale, di jud ma-detect sa PC ang akong modem. When I try pinging the modem, it says "destination host unreachable." When I try pinging my LAN card, okay man pud, ma-detect man niya.
Also, when I start up the computer, naay error message nga mugawas "No DHCP and proxyDHCP were received" When that error message appears, di na jud ko makaconnect."
I am at a loss na jud unsaon ni, I'm thinking it might be an issue with my PC, pero ang technician kay dili man nila maayo. I wish they could troubleshoot it better, para maka-connect na intawn ko.
I'm not a tech-savvy person, so I'm hoping some of you guys can enlighten me on the issue. Please! Thanks in advance.
