Taken from google.com:
"The solution was to specify a static IP address for your home access point.
The good thing is that this configuration is per access point rather per wifi adapter, so you can use DHCP as normal in all situations apart from when it fails to connect. The networking setup is a nice approach from Nokia, unlike Microsoft Windows where the wireless adapter is defined as DHCP or not, Nokia do it on per access point which is a much more flexible and practical way to go about it. You don't have to keep switching settings and configurations.
To set a static/manual IP address do the following:
Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points > *Highlight Access Point* > Options > Edit > Options > Advanced settings > IPv4 settings
Here you will need to change the following from Automatic and enter the following details:
Phone IP address:
Subnet Mask:
Default gateway:
DNS addresses:
If you do not know to set these details manually, you can look at an existing laptop or desktop computer which is connected to your home network and make a note of the common settings.
To do this on your Windows computer, go to Start > run and type "cmd" and click OK. In the black dos prompt, type "ipconfig /all" to display your networking information.
Your Phone IP address should be unique on your network, so if you router/DHCP server has an ip address of 192.168.0.1 you need to set your phone to something like 192.168.0.20. Subnet/default gateway/dns servers settings can all be copied from the Windows computer and entered into your phone - this these settings may vary depending on the type of router and setup you have.
Hope this helps someone, I'm really pleased I got my wifi working at home. "
